Book Release and a Sneak Peek

It’s almost here!

Wow. I can’t believe I’m holding my book in my hands right now. I felt the nudge to begin writing this book during the spring of 2022. This authorship journey has been healing, solidifying, humbling, full of encounter, and encouraging for me. And now to sit here and hold a dream come true that I’ve had since I was a child leaves me in awe.

I wrote this out of obedience, as tangible evidence of the transformation we experienced during the wilderness season that my husband and I have walked through the past several years. And now, as we have found Home in this wilderness, our hearts are wild and free again, and our story is saturated with the deep love of Yahweh.

This book holds the story of how He wooed me into this love by having me pay attention to nature and the message that He has embedded within His creation. The nature of who and ‘how’ He is is on display right outside our doors if we’ll pay attention.

This has been a labor of love and I hope you, dear reader, will enjoy the fruit of our hardest, most life-changing season. Good days are ahead, of this I am sure.

So, without further ado, here is a sneak peek of my book.

Introduction

“Nature has a way of becoming an abditory for the mind, body, and soul. It offers itself as a literal secret place that speaks truths through the whisper of the wind and the steady trickles of the river’s waters. To be invited here is surely an honor as it holds promises to be found in the
seeking. Nothing here is tame, and domestication becomes crushed under the soles of those who wander here. Every angle becomes a vision of
purity where truth cannot be twisted or vaguely displayed, leaving no room for error in interpretation. Every tree, grain of soil, beam of
sunlight, drop of dew, and wildflower petal projects the good news hidden within each molecule if, and only if, we walk these wild trails
with the courage to be vulnerable enough for the forest to expose itself.

As heaven worships, these praises cascade to the earth, inhabiting creation as it grasps the overflow as an offering. The forest, the land, the sky, and the sea have remained good since the Beginning, speaking their own wordless language out of a reverent relationship with Yahweh – the creator of all things. I’d like to think the trees are the tallest beings of the forest by design, created to extend their branches in an eternal yielded posture. In this posture, they breathe in the fragrances of heaven and extend its prayers through their roots, saturating the foundations of the earth in glory. Because of this, creation silently and humbly sits as an abode for humanity to steward, inviting us to then taste and see the gospel that has been etched through the wilderness like a treasure to be found.

Here, time is managed through cycles where beginning, middle, and end are all evident within a single breath. It feels like stepping into a
sacred moment of eternity, designed to showcase a glimpse of a grander picture while still living in the present moment. Every detail radiates of
significance, telling us a story of old if we will lean in close enough to hear what is being spoken. Age here is just a number, as all that dwells here holds ancient secrets that have been preserved through the generations of life that have come and gone. These secrets are released through the frequency of a song, meant for all to tune in and hear this symphonic romance of the ages. Perhaps this is why the whole earth sings. We hear the whispers of invitation to hear this song through the earth’s groaning, which then sings the refrains of awakening when we finally realign our eyes and ears to the goodness and beauty that surrounds. And from there, we not only taste and see but we begin to cultivate the land on which our feet tread into something spectacular, as Yahweh releases his blueprints into our dreams. It is through these
rhythms that we align our movements with the melody that all of creation is singing, lifting the veil of the forest to reveal the messages of truth
hidden in plain sight. It is in this posture that we find ourselves with eyes wide-open… reading between the vines.”
