Revival

All around, the earth prepares for the beginning stages of metamorphosis.

While one cycle is coming to an end, another is hidden in the fractals of creation, casting shadows of new beginnings if we dare to look with fresh eyes. Somehow there is always a new perspective to see in the infinite intricacies of nature’s layered kingdom. We could look around and only see death, barrenness, bitter winds, darkness.

But to stand still and really focus in, allowing blurred lines to become clear within the whispers of the wilderness, maybe we would see the vulnerability of the trees’ extended branches, postured in complete trust to receive what is to come. Maybe we begin to notice the sharp winds meeting our lungs, as we gain awareness of each breath we have been granted. Instead of seeing a vast, empty landscape, could it be that we are being invited to dream with Yahweh, the blank canvas of the earth becoming ours to dress?

Because maybe having vision to see the present through the lens of beauty is revival. Living and breathing each moment to see the goodness of Yahweh again and again, we morph into this image of Love after being caught up in the depths of this exposure. Maybe revival has always been more personal than we thought…being revived to see treasures hidden within the mundane and having vision to see all things as He does. Being brought into fullness of joy and life through seeing Him for who He is and who we truly are in Him. Because without vision, we perish.

So surely, ‘with‘ vision we live. The earth seems to understand. All of creation remains truly alive, constantly cycling death back into life. Something eternal, something tangibly alive is happening within our midst and maybe creation sees it. Perhaps it’s why the whole earth sings.

As we cycle through another turn of the seasons, we have the invitation to see Yahweh with fresh eyes. To catch a glimpse of His nature and focus in, locking eyes with that which has captivated us until we undergo our own metamorphosis of sorts, to reflect what has been embedded within us this whole time.

Beauty is within the eyes of the beholder.
And with this vision we shall behold Him.
